Awakened® Pecans are raw Organic Pecans that are soaked overnight in pure water, initiating germination, and helping reduce enzyme inhibitors that make all nuts hard to digest. These pecans were selected as a Good Food Award Winner in 2021.
Soaked Pecans are also referred to as sprouted, but since the tiny sprout is unseen, Hummingbird prefers the term Awakened®. When soaking, they rinse pecans in a mild salt bath, using Himalayan Pink Salt, and dehydrate at low temperatures until they reach the perfect crunchiness.
